What do I need to rent a vehicle?
Be over 25 years of age.
Valid Citizen ID or Passport.
Valid Driver's License (National or Foreign).
Credit Card as a guarantee/deposit for the Rental Agreement: Credit card with an available limit of 1,600,000 pesos for cars and 3,500,000 pesos for 5-seater SUVs or models such as Tracker, Carens, or Santa Fe, and 6,500,000 pesos for 7-seater SUVs or models such as Sorento. Two vouchers will be signed (Damage and Infractions). Both vouchers will be returned as long as the vehicle is returned in the same original condition. A voucher will remain with the rental company for an additional 10 business days after the rental ends for possible infractions. For deposit purposes (only), Colombian credit cards issued by Falabella or Alkosto are NOT accepted.
Payment Methods for the Rental?
Your vehicle rental payment can be made in cash, debit, or credit card at the location upon picking up the vehicle.
Important to note!
Credit Card Security Limit/Deposit: Colombian credit cards issued by Falabella or Alkosto are NOT accepted for deposit purposes. The credit card limit is used to secure the security deposit; this amount will remain frozen for the duration of the vehicle rental. At the end of the service, the corresponding deductible will be requested to be released. This process takes 3 to 5 business days, depending on the bank.
Credit Cards NOT accepted for payment at the agency or deposit creation: The rental company does NOT accept prepaid, virtual, or any other type of card that does not have the numbers or embossing necessary to create a security deposit. Credit cards from any non-bank establishment are NOT accepted, except for those with global deductibles such as VISA, Mastercard, or American Express. Conditions and restrictions apply. Please refer to the rental company's policies directly.
