What is required to rent a vehicle?
Be over 25 years of age.
A valid Citizen ID or Passport.
A valid Driver's License (National or International).
Credit Card as a guarantee/deposit for the Rental Agreement: Credit card (excluding Dinners Club, American Express, Exito, and Falabella) with a limit of $2,600,000 pesos for car rentals or $3,500,000 pesos for SUVs, vans, and trucks.
Payment methods for the rental?
Payment for your vehicle rental can be made by credit card (Diners, American Express, Exito, or Falabella are not accepted), debit card, or cash.
Important to note:
Security Limit/Deposit taken from the credit card: The credit card limit is used to secure the security deposit; this amount will remain frozen for the duration of the vehicle rental. Upon completion of the service, the corresponding deductible will be requested to be released, which takes up to one week. The subsequent process takes 3 to 5 business days, depending on the bank.
Credit Cards NOT accepted for payment at the agency or for deposit creation: The rental company does NOT accept prepaid, virtual, or any other type of card that does not have the numbers or embossing necessary to create a security deposit. Credit cards from any non-bank establishment are NOT accepted, except for those with global franchises such as VISA or Mastercard. Conditions and restrictions apply. Please refer to the rental company's policies directly.
