Credit Card required to guarantee the rental agreement deposit. The rental agreement is formalized by signing two vouchers (for damages and traffic violations). For car and SUV rentals, you must have a minimum available credit of $2,000,000 COP.
Payment Methods for the Rental?
You can pay for your vehicle rental in cash, debit card, or credit card at the rental agency when you pick up the vehicle.
Important to note:
Security/Deposit Credit Card Credit Card Credit: The credit card credit is used to guarantee the security deposit. This amount will remain frozen for the duration of the vehicle rental. At the end of the rental period, the credit card credit must be released from the corresponding bank. This process takes 10 to 15 business days, depending on the bank.
Credit Cards NOT Accepted for Payment at the Agency or for Deposit Creation: The rental company does NOT accept prepaid, virtual, or any other type of card that does not have the numbers or embossed designation required for the security deposit. Private label credit cards from any non-banking establishment are NOT accepted, unless they are part of major global networks such as VISA, Mastercard, American Express, or Diners Club.
